Ten days ago the funeral of the husband of the 50-year-old woman took place in Zakynthoswhich on the one hand showed that she was taking care of her two children but now she is accused of domestic violence at the expense of the adopted minors.
The revelation of the nightmare that the two minor children were living took place at noon on Saturday (04.06.2024) when “Smile of the Child” informed A.T. Alykon Zakynthos, that a neighbor of the alleged perpetrator called them and reported an incident of domestic violence concerning the two young children, 9 and 12 years old respectively, who were adopted three years ago by the alleged perpetrator and her husband her.
As the neighbor reported in “Smile of the Child”, the 12-year-old boy went crying to her to ask for helpwith obvious signs of abuse on his body and told her that his stepmother beats him almost on a daily basis for the entire period of their cohabitation, since the beginning of their adoption.

The 50-year-old woman together with the two minors were taken to the police station, while at the same time the Zakynthos District Prosecutor was informed, who gave an order for the impartial witness examination of the minors.
More specifically, the stepmother is accused of physically assaulting the little boy on Saturday (6.04.2024) by hitting him with her hands on the head, neck and shoulder, causing him physical injuries (scratches and bruises), while at the same time exercising with the her hands also physically violence the little girl, hitting both of them on the head.
In addition, it was reported by them that their mother, since 2020, has been physically and psychologically abusing them.
In fact, following the order of the prosecutor, the minor children were taken by the police to G.N. Zakynthos in order to be examined. After the doctors’ examination, signs of abuse were found on the children’s bodies, and they remained hospitalized at the pediatric clinic.
By order of the Zakynthos Primary Prosecutor, they were ordered to be kept safely inside the hospital by police officers.
This new case of abuse of minors in Zakynthos took the path of justice a few days ago when a 49-year-old man committed suicide in Agios Dimitrios.
The man shot himself in the head with a shotgun and left a note before taking the fateful step.
The 50-year-old woman charged with domestic violence, she was taken at noon on Sunday (7.04.2024) before the First Instance Prosecutor of Zakynthos and her detention continues until tomorrow Monday (8.04.2024) when she is expected to be taken to the headquarters.
