Cars of the Swedish brand Volvo have been benchmarks in terms of safety for several decades. But what about their reliability? The answer to this question was given by experts from the authoritative German organization “Dekra”, compiled a list of the most problem-free used Volvo cars.
Volvo S60
One of the most outstanding cars in the line of the Swedish auto giant, which became the prototype of the universal version of the V60.
Over the years of production, the machine has proven itself to be very reliable. According to expert calculations, during the first 100 thousand kilometers the probability that it will suffer a serious breakdown is an insignificant 3.8%, with 11.3% on average in the class.
Volvo XC60
The no less famous crossover, considered almost the safest in the Volvo range, is also extremely reliable. The chances that the car will fail in the first 100 thousand kilometers in its case are only 3.9%, which is 2.5 times better than the average in the segment.
Volvo S80
This sedan was and remains a very comfortable model with outstanding characteristics and technologies for its time, which did not affect the overall reliability of the car.
German analysts say that this 4-door has only a 6.9% chance of breaking down and requiring major repairs within the first 100 thousand kilometers. For comparison, on average in the class this figure is 8.3%.
Volvo C30
One of the few C-segment models that Volvo continues to sell to this day. And for good reason. The chances that it will break down in its debut 100 thousand kilometers on the odometer are only 9.5%, while the average in its category is 13.2%.
Volvo XC90
Rounding out the list of the most reliable used Volvo cars is its best seller. A stylish family crossover that can accommodate up to seven people breaks down seriously in the first 100 thousand km only in 14% of cases, which is not the most ideal indicator in the class, but not the worst either.
