Womanizer – world number 1 in sextoys – wanted to compare the place of sex in countries around the world. Through a new investigationso the brand shared a ranking of European countries where the libido is in good shape.
For survey purposes, 22,000 people – men and women of all ages – from different countries around the world, were asked to assess their level of libido on a scale of 0 to 10. Results: the country that ranks at the top of this European ranking is Italy with a score of 6.93/10. In second position, we find Spain with a score of 6.91/10. Libido: it varies according to age or gender
The study also highlighted the disparities according to the age groups. It turns out that libido is estimated to be highest among 25-34 year olds (6.73/10). We then find the 35-44 year olds (6.68/10).
This study also revealed that the libido was stronger according to a certain age group. Indeed, the age group with a strong arousal are the 25-34 year olds (6.73/10), followed by the 35-44 year olds (6.68/10). One European country stands out: the United Kingdom, where those aged 18-24 have the highest libido with a score of 6.96/10.
In addition to age groups, the survey also highlights the difference between men and women.
According to Annabelle Knight, sex and relationship expert at Womanizer, “men are likely to be more willing to say they have a higher libido and vice versa for women, as outdated notions around female (and male) sexuality still exist, whether internally or externally”. Indeed, a difference of 12% was found between men and women, with 6.53 and 5.76 respectively.
“Sex drives vary wildly from person to person, and there’s nothing to be ashamed of if yours is particularly below or above average. The important thing is that you can communicate openly with any partner, and if you have high sexual urges, get out the sex toys and have fun”, reassures the expert.
