  • French Montana feat. Moneybagg Yo – FWMGAB (Remix) :

In December, French Montana delivered its 5th studio album, They Got Amnesia, which entered at number 59 on the Billboard Hot 200 in week 1. An opus of 20 titles on which we find several high-ranking collaborations like Drake, John Legend, Rick Ross, Doja Cat, Saweetie or Fabolous to name a few. He therefore continues to defend his record by unveiling a remix of one of the latter’s tracks, namely FWMGAB (for Fuck With Me And Get A Back) which he had already clipped in June in New York, and whose video for this new version, in collaboration with Moneybagg Yo, takes us to Cuba, even if the artists seem not to have delivered on site. Produced by Chris Moreno, the clip opens with shots of landscapes of Havana, but above all of a splendid villa with a swimming pool around which (and in which) many girls in bathing suits are moving (especially the lower back), while the 2 rappers enjoy their lives between cigars, alcohol and card games. This track had attracted attention for its use of Cuban artist Jerry Rivera’s sample, and his title Love like Ours from 1992, whose famous trumpet had already been taken over by Shakira (with Wyclef Jean) for his huge hit of 2006, Hips Don’t Lie, and in 2004 by Wyclef Jean and Claudette Ortiz for their collaboration on the track Dance Like This, excerpt from the soundtrack of the film Havana Nights… This clip is the 6th to have taken from the album They Got Amnesia following Handstand featuring Doja Cat and Saweetie, Bag Season with Lil Tjay, I Don’t Really Care, Panicking with Fivio Foreign and the original version of FWMGAB.

  • Shenseea feat. Megan Thee Stallion – Lick :

Jamaican singer, Chinsea Lin Lee (25) aka Shenseea has made a name for herself on the US scene with titles like Run Run, Be Good, You’re The One I Love (featuring Rvssian) and, more recently, Dolly. We were also able to find her on the track Pure Souls, extract of Donda, big Kanye West. However, his 1st album is still waiting. While waiting for this long-awaited release, the dancehall queen continues to turn up the heat by offering Lick, in collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion. As the title of the piece indicates, the 2 artists here give their lovers advice on how to satisfy them sexually. Obviously, the very explicit clip, signed James Larese (Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Action Bronson, Fifth Harmony, Fall Out Boy, Rita Ora, Estelle and Kanye West…), is also going in this direction, since the 2 young women are dressed in ultra sexualized outfits, in positions that are just as sexual, and surrounded by a delicious decor made up of giant ice creams and other sweets of all kinds… to lick and suck. You will have understood the visual allegory!

  • YoungBoy NBA – Bring It On :

This Friday, January 21, YoungBoy NBA released yet another new project, called Colors and comprising 20 tracks, including singles already released to the general public, including Foolish Figure, Emo Love, Emo Rockstar, Fish Scale and Bring The Hook. To accompany this publication and while he is talked regarding for his multiple provocations (especially once morest the clan of Lil Durk), he proposed the clip of the title Bring It On. Directed by his closest collaborator when it comes to clipping, Flyguynick, the track features the rapper from Bâton-Rouge in a multitude of situations in order to alternate shots, hooded in his living room, savoring lean in a cup, or counting his bills, putting his track behind the microphone in a studio, or even on a subway platform… Colors follows on from Sincerely, Kentrell, released fall 2021, while YoungBoy was still incarcerated due to a gun conviction. The album, which contained 21 songs (or 23 if we include the Deluxe edition) ranked first on the Billboard 200, with 137,000 copies sold in 7 days of operation.

  • Cordae feat. H.E.R. & Lil Durk – Chronicles :

On Friday January 14, the 2nd album of the 24-year-old rapper and singer, native of North Carolina, Cordae was released: From A Bird’s Eye View. A 14 titles on which posed true legends like Eminem, Lil Wayne, but also Roddy Ricch, Gunna, Lil Durk, HER, among others. Besides, these last 2 joined Cordae on the title Chronicles, which they clipped together, under the leadership ofEdgar Esteves (Lil Baby, Russ, Chris Brown…). They then take us to a restaurant with a typically American universe in which, between everyone’s playbacks, we follow the love story of Cordae Amari Dunston – real name -, employee in the snack, with a waitress working at his side. From A Bird’s Eye View follows his 1st album, The Lost Boy, who at the time was critically acclaimed, and even nominated for Grammy Awards.

  • Rod Wave – Cold December :

Rod Wave released his 1st track in 2022! A single called Cold December through which the singer transports us, thanks to his sweet and bewitching voice, in his soaring universe, in the middle of winter this time. Indeed, the clip directed by the collective of Reel Goats (DaBaby, Blueface, Polo G, Lil Tjay, Coi Leray…), depicts a love story turning sour, in an icy but splendid setting, in the mountains, which contrasts with the sequences by the sea, necessary to narration. The video begins with the following sentence:Selfish people often take selfishness for strength. It takes no talent, no intelligence, no self-control and no effort to put your ego before others. As he now embarks on a new era, Rod Wave had a successful year in 2021, with the release of his 3rd album, Soul Fly, in March, which had reached 1st place on the Billboard with 130,000 units sold in the 1st week. It has since crossed the platinum bar…
