The 4th International Challenge of Phosphate Cities: A Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation Event under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI

The Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation (FRMC) is organizing, from September 8 to 10 in the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region, the 4th International Challenge of Phosphate Cities, under the High Patronage of HM King Mohammed VI.

This international event, organized with the support of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and the Moroccan National Olympic Committee, under the aegis of the International Cycling Union (UCI), sees the participation of teams representing 11 countries, in this case Uzbekistan, Cameroon, Mauritania, Germany, the United States, Iraq, Turkey, France, Angola and Switzerland, in addition to Morocco, whose colors will be defended by four teams, namely the national team (A), the hopeful team, the Sahara team and “Sidi Ali Citroën”.

This international competition constitutes an opportunity to shed light on the scale of structuring projects and the geographical, cultural, economic and civilizational characteristics of which the region abounds.

Note that the 33rd edition of the Cycling Tour of Morocco will begin on September 14 in the city of Laâyoune, which will host the elective general assembly of the FRMC on the 12th of the same month.

This event, listed on the UCI calendar, will take place over 3 stages:

September 8 (10:00 a.m.) Boukraa Grand Prix
Laâyoune – Boukraa (100.8 km)
September 9 (2:00 p.m.) Smara Grand Prix
Boukraa – Samara (166.1 km)
September 10 (10:00 a.m.) Laâyoune Grand Prix
Boukraa – Laâyoune (106.1 km)
