Thursday 27 April, the kick off of the 48e edition of the Cartel des Mines, a sort of Olympic Games for engineering students from the IMT network, was given at Place des Martyrs de la Résistance in Alès.
2,000 students marched through Alès to the Arènes du Tempéras where the first clashes took place. The name of the winner of the 48e edition will be known on Saturday evening.
