The “Scary Fast” event was the scene of some interesting announcements. But some products are also conspicuous by their absence.
During this October 2023 keynote, the Cupertino company unveiled new products which should delight aficionados of the brand. However, some may have been disappointed by the conclusion of this event, not having resulted in any real new developments, other than the Apple Silicon M3 chips. So, who are the big ones missing from this keynote?
Rumors predicted the arrival of “Magic” accessories with USB-C ports for charging, yet they remained faithful to their Lightning connection. We would have liked updates to the Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. You will still have to be patient.
iPad enthusiasts were also disappointed, as no new iPad was revealed despite some speculation. Some rumors suggested the arrival of a new generation of iPad Mini. It is not so.
The announcement of new iPads would take place in March 2024.
The iMac Pro has been the subject of persistent rumors, but it once once more escaped the spotlight at this event. However, information from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that a Pro version of the iMac with an impressive 32-inch screen might see the light of day by the end of 2024 or in 2025, with mini-LED technology.
MacBook Air and Mac Mini fans will have to wait a little longer. Indeed, new versions of these devices should arrive in the first half of 2024, with standard M3 chips.
