The French BasketBall Federation (FFBB) announced the creation of the Pro League 3×3 Hoops Factory edition, the first professional-level 3×3 league in France.
Since its launch in 2010, the 3×3 has experienced growing popularity. A fast and spectacular discipline combining urban culture and sporting performance, 3×3 today appeals to a very wide audience. Its entry into the official Olympic program since the Tokyo 2020 Games and the excellent results of the French teams in international competitions have further accelerated the process and amplified the visibility of this discipline. This summer, with the Paris 2024 Games, in a magnificent setting on the Place de la Concorde, the 3×3 will experience unprecedented exposure.
With the creation of the 3×3 Pro League, the FFBB will organize for the first time an international 3×3 circuit at professional level in France, with the ambition of making it a long-term major date in the 3×3 world calendar. . Ideally located in the international calendar, this will be the first international 3×3 event of the season. Some of the best teams in the world will be there to begin their season ahead of the resumption of the FIBA 3X3 World Tour (men) and Women’s Series (women) in April. It will also be an opportunity for international players to prepare for the Olympic Qualifying Tournaments (OQT) in May.
Laëtitia Guapo and the Blues of the game
On the French side, we will find the players from the France group led by Laëtitia Guapo, as well as the players from 3×3 Paris who participated in the FIBA 3X3 World Tour 2023 and reached the world final in December.
