Asuncion, IP Agency.-The first competitions of the 2024 National School and Student Games (JEEN) began in the cities of San Lázaro, department of Concepción; and Piribebuy, Cordillera; as part of the actions of the prevention axis of the SUMAR plan, promoted by the Government of Paraguay with its institutions.
Both localities were the first to start the school and student competition, which is held throughout the country, through the National Secretariat of Sports (SND) and the Ministry of Education and Science (MEC).
The San Lázaro Municipal Sports Center, on the banks of the Paraguay River, was the venue for the team sports matches corresponding to the Municipal Phase of the JEEN 2024.
A total of 10 educational institutions from the community competed during two intense days of competition to find their local representatives.
At the same time, but in the city of Piribebuy, athletes representing 24 schools and colleges in the area met at the headquarters of the 12 de agosto Club to carry out the matches set by the local organizing committee.
These two districts in the interior of the country celebrated exciting and colorful sports festivals that were filled with hustle and bustle and joy from the students.
