The 2022 World Cup draw… There is no escape from the “Group of Death”

Under the new FIFA arrangement, Germany and the Netherlands are ranked second in the 2022 World Cup draw, which will be held Friday evening in Doha, making the group of death inevitable in the next tournament and inevitable.

In this draw, the qualified teams are placed in 4 pots or pots, depending on their position in the FIFA international classification.

Pot one includes: Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Spain and Portugal, in addition to Qatar, the host country.

The second pot includes: Holland, Denmark, Germany, Mexico, Switzerland, America, Uruguay and Croatia.

The third pot includes: Senegal, Iran, Japan, Morocco, Tunisia, Serbia, Poland and South Korea.

While the fourth pot includes: Cameroon, Canada, Ecuador, Saudi Arabia, Ghana, the winner from (UAE/Australia x Peru), the winner from (Costa Rica x New Zealand), and the winner from (Ukraine/Scotland x Wales).

In this draw, a team is drawn from the first pot, then a team from the second pot, then the third and fourth, to complete the group. The same process is repeated with the remaining teams in the first pot.

The teams of each continental union will be divided into the eight groups, so that no two teams from the same continental union participate in one group, with the exception of Europe, represented by thirteen teams, where two European teams will compete in five groups out of eight.

Depending on the classification and the rules of the lottery, the “group of death” will be inevitable in the next World Cup.

The finalists were divided into 4 groups

It is certain that at least one of the groups will include a team from the first row, i.e. Brazil, Belgium, France, Argentina, England, Spain or Portugal, with Germany (4 times world champion) or the Netherlands (the team that has played the most World Cup final without being crowned).

None of the third and fourth ranked teams, especially the Arab teams (Morocco, Tunisia and Saudi Arabia), hope to fall into this group of death, from which crossing to the second round will be almost impossible.

The Qatar World Cup will be held from November 21 to December 18, for the first time in the Middle East.
