Thalassotherapy (2019) release scheduled for 21st of August
The French writer Michel Houellebecq and the actor Gérard Depardieu meet in a thalassotherapy center in Cabourg. As they try to follow a strict treatment regimen, many unforeseen changes their plans.
Guillaume Nicloux’s film is the sequel to his 2014 feature film entitled ”The Kidnapping of Michel Houellebecq”. The plot is therefore built, among other things, around the family who previously kidnapped the writer. The director is, this time, calling on a big name in French cinema (Depardieu) to form with the writer, a duo with offbeat humor. The two protagonists work in a hilarious way to play themselves in a series of sketches with an unexpected scenario.
