After the very good ear(1)Nothing is about to launch into new product categories, and especially smartphones. Rumors indicating that the brand would prepare a phone been going well for several months already, but it seems to be confirmed today.
The week, during MWC 2022the big Tech brands met in Barcelona to present new products (especially PCs). While some were publicly unveiled with great fanfare, it was also an opportunity for some to show their new products more discreetly to their partners in the aisles of the Catalan show. This is what seems to immortalize this photo, published by the famous evleaks on Twitter.

On the image in question, we see Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing and co-founder of OnePlus, showing an object to Cristiano Amon, CEO of Qualcomm. And yes, it is indeed a smartphone.
Unfortunately, that’s the only information we can get from this image at the moment, but TechCrunch already claimed last week that the phone of Nothing was presented under the coat away from prying eyes during the MWC. Not far enough it seems.
The media specialist in investments in Silicon Valley reports that the smartphone in question would share some design elements with the ear(1), starting with certain places with a transparency effect. To be sure, however, we will have to wait for the official presentation. It shouldn’t take long if a working prototype is ready to be shown to Nothing’s partners… The brand has even hinted on twitter that “the month of March” was going to be fun. What to think that a presentation is very close.
