Former Dynamo Moscow defender Sergei Bautin dies at 56 following a long illness

The winner of the 1992 Olympic Games in hockey, Sergei Bautin, died at the age of 55 following a long illness. About it reported press service of the Moscow “Dynamo”, which included Bautin.

As part of the Moscow Dynamo, Bautin spent two seasons and became a two-time national champion. In the 1991/1992 season he was the team captain.

In 1992, Sergei Bautin, together with the national team, won the Olympic Games in Albertville. In 1992 he also received the title of Honored Master of Sports. In 2014, he was inducted into the National Hockey Hall of Fame.
