The 15th edition of the Motocoeur 28 is coming

Magnifying glass. Soon the 15th edition of the Motocoeur 28 for the benefit of Noah and Alexis. The 15th edition of the Motocoeur 28 will take place on Sunday July 31, in the grounds of the Château de La Loupe, for the benefit of two disabled brothers: Noah, 13, and Alexis, 11, from Briconville, both suffering from unknown neurodegenerative disease that deprives them of sight, speech but not hearing.

“At the beginning, they lived more or less normally, whereas we believe that they had simple delays in the acquisition of learning at school. We know following several hospitalizations that their disease is gradually destroying their brain,” explained Sébastien Benoît and Linda Da Costa, their parents, on Saturday at the Bar PMU Le Café de Paris, partner of the event. “The disease first arose through eye damage in Alexis at the age of 22 months, then several epileptic seizures led to several strokes in 2018. It is different for Noah, he was walking. But little by little, he lost his locomotion and his condition became more complicated in December 2021. He is still educated at the EEAP in Poivilliers and the DAME in Mainvilliers “Their project is to adapt the bedrooms and a bathroom to allow wheelchair access in their house “but the layout of the rooms poses practical difficulties of access, we must review the plan with a need to enlarge the corridors and find a craftsman for this work at a cost of more than €50,000”. Jérôme Geslain, the president of the Motocœur 28 association, hopes to mobilize the pilots of motorcycles, sidecars, trikes, spyders, quads and scooters at the rate of 4 euros per helmet to finance part of the work “we appreciate his support, it is comforting not to feel alone” adds the couple. Last year, this action raised €5,000 to help Quentin thanks to the generosity of 425 motorcyclists, “we hope to do more with the sale of sausages throughout the year. Many regulars and newcomers are expected in the morning from 8:30 a.m. for the ride from 9:30 a.m. departing from La Loupe,” recalls the organizer. Practice: Motocoeur 28 Sunday July 31 La Loupe.
