The 15-inch MacBook Air would be in the starting blocks

The stars seem to align for the 15-inch MacBook Air! Ross Young, decidedly very prolific today (he has just announced the hypothetical abandonment of the “Studio Display Pro”), has given its paying subscribers with news regarding this potential great entry-level notebook. They’re pretty good: according to its monitor industry sources, the machine might be launched as early as the end of this month, or early May.

The MacBook Air M2 (13.6 inches).

With WWDC scheduled for June 5, Apple may want to wait until the developer event to unveil this new, unreleased member of the MacBook Air family. Unless the manufacturer wants to put the package only on its mixed reality headset, in which case Apple might actually launch this laptop in the coming weeks – it would still be surprising if Apple did without the sounding board of a keynote .

Anyway, the launch of this MacBook Air should not take too long even if in terms of rumors, we must not swear to anything. In February, the same Young indicated that the production of 15.5 inch panels had started. This hallway noise has been tenacious since the beginning of 2022, Mark Gurman has also heard of it.

Not surprisingly, this laptop would retain the same design as its 13.6-inch little brother. Whether the chip inside will be an M2 or an M3 remains to be seen, and whether it will have the shoulders strong enough to raise the bar for Mac sales this year…
