The 14.1-inch iPad Pro wouldn’t arrive in 2023 after all ????

If you had the “14.1-inch iPad Pro” box in your 2023 bingo, then it may well not be used. Ross Young, Display Industry Specialist, thought now that this great tablet will not make its appearance next year. In June, however, he announced followingan indiscretion by Mark Gurmanthat such a model was planned for the first quarter of 2023.

iPad Pro M1 11″ and 12.9″

But now, Apple would have changed its tune. This 14.1-inch iPad project has either been delayed or completely canceled according to Young. Too bad, it wouldn’t be so far-fetched to see a tablet larger than the current largest iPad Pro (12.9 inches). For example, in the context of more sedentary use with a Magic Trackpad (even if Stage Manager makes it possible to use external screens a little better).

As for the screen technology of this hypothetical tablet, Ross Young had first predicted a mini-LED panel as on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, then a simple LCD, before obviously returning to the mini-LED. Recently, we learned that Apple would have asked Samsung to work on special OLED screens for its range of iPads.

Update – The same Young has noted to MacRumors that 11.1 and 13-inch iPad Pros with OLED screens were in Apple’s boxes for 2024. That is 0.1 inch more than the current models: the manufacturer would avoid enlarging the frames, preferring to cut back on the borders around the screen.
