Tharwat Swailem, a member of the Professional Clubs Association, that Vitoria will not determine the shape of the next season of the league championship, pointing to Clattenburg’s failure in his mission in Saudi Arabia.
Tharwat said, during a telephone interview on “Sada Al-Balad” channel: “Vitoria will not determine the shape of the next season for the League Championship. The only intervention is the right of the Association of Clubs only.”
And he added, “There is a meeting in the Club Committee next Wednesday to discuss many important matters related to the league for the current and new seasons.”
He pointed out: “All the league clubs demanded that the format of the competition be as it is, and this is what will happen. Nothing will be changed.”
And he continued: “Essam Abdel-Fattah is one of the best who took the position of head of the referees committee, and it is not right for a non-Egyptian person to assume the presidency of the committee, we have respected rulers.”
He concluded: “What does Clattenburg know regarding Egypt? He failed in Saudi Arabia and was contracted with the Greek Federation.”
