Fragile family relationships that change from moment to moment. Balances that seem ideal to the casual observer, pathologies that exist within families and beyond that make communication difficult and the need for a desirable calmness and completeness, emerged on the evening of Monday July 1st at the Old Slaughterhouses stage, where as part of the Festival As an amateur theater, the Achaean Culture-Tradition Workshop and its co-action theater group presented the theater performance “Thank you for robbing us”.
The theatergoers watched a modular comedy involving a web of blood relations, dominated by ambition and egos and perpetuated by the impossibility of even simple communication and association.
The reversals during the play emphasized the relativity of the concepts of ‘good’ and ‘bad’, ‘ugly’ and ‘beautiful’, ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. Smiles and tantrums at the same time. Optimism and disappointment. A collage of emotions that everyone has experienced. Emotions, which wink at a “reason” that lurks sure of itself. And somewhere there also arose… a robbery.
Nontas Fokas signed the script, direction, sets and music.
The costume design (costumes, dresses) and accessories were from DIPETHE Patras and the Achaiko Workshop. Make-up Evangelia Bakalarou.
The actors (in order of appearance): Yiannis Alexopoulos, Lila Chrysanthakopoulou, Konstantina Petroutsou, Vassilis Psychogyios, Fotini Angelopoulou, Giorgos Degles, Vangelis Armonis, Kostas Kazamariotis, Spyros Papaioannou and Nontas Fokas acted.
Municipal Councilor, member of the Cultural Committee, director of the Polyphonic Theatrical Workshop Athina Kallimani – Georgitsopoulou spoke. The performance was attended by the Deputy Mayor for Culture Apostolis Aggelis, municipal and district councilors and Kostas Tzouramanis from the Amateur Theater Festival Committee.
