It’s a page of RTL and especially of Bel RTL that turns. Christian De Paepe presents his last show this Friday following 32 years at the Brussels microphone. Our “National Cricri” is retiring and the RTL team is organizing a special program for him entitled “Thank you Christian”.
Because Christian De Paepe means thousands of hours of air time – Les Croisières Bel RTL, C’est à vous, Les Disques d’or… – and a recognizable voice among all.
“The radio must continue on its way”
Bel RTL has decided to pay tribute to this flagship host this Friday for his last day before his big retirement. “I will miss the colleagues, the studios, the listeners terribly”he confesses to journalist Laxmi Lota. “But, here, there is a life following, it seems (…) The radio must continue its way, my personal future is of little importance compared to the future of Bel RTL.”
Always humble, Christian De Paepe plans once retired “reading, traveling, and taking care of his partner Brigitte”.
Christian De Paepe will probably return to the studio from time to time, in particular to animate the Golden Records of Télévie.
