Kannur – It is alleged that the policemen committed moral hooliganism once morest the couple in Thalassery. The complaint is that the husband was beaten and arrested. The couple complained that the Thalassery police misbehaved when they went to see the sea bridge at night.
Meanwhile, the Thalassery police registered a case once morest the Pratyush-Megha couple for assaulting the police and obstructing their work. The Kannur SP has also ordered a departmental inquiry on the couple’s complaint.
The incident took place on the last 5th at 10:30 pm. The police asked Pratyush and his wife Megha, who were standing on the Thalassery sea bridge, to leave the place. The complaint is that CI Biju, SI Manu and other policemen of Thalassery station beat them when they asked for the reason.

The police stand that they were told to go back because the sea was rough. Thalassery police also explained that they were taken to the station because both of them were not cooperating. Thalassery ACP and Special Branch DySP will investigate the couple’s complaint separately. The station’s CCTV will also be checked.
