TF Sport’s 2024 Season: From Aston Martin to Corvette, Meet the New Crew and Their Success Stories

2023-12-11 16:00:00

For TF Sport, the 2024 season promises to be one of novelty. If the WEC will still be relevant, Tom Ferrier’s team is moving from Aston Martin to Corvette with two new Z06 GT3.Rs entered in the brand new LMGT3 category.

Two examples will be there next season in the WEC and, that’s it, the crew of the #81 is complete. New official Corvette Racing driver, Charlie Eastwood will serve as crew captain. At his side, we will find Rui Andrade and Tom Van Rompuy.

At 35, Belgian Tom Van Rompuy (Bronze) has climbed the ranks little by little to move from the LMP3 to LMP2 category this year in Pro-Am at DKR Engineering in the European Le Mans Series and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he reached the podium in LMP2 Pro-Am.

Ranked Silver, Angolan Rui Andrade is coming off a world title in LMP2 at WRT. Aged 24, he will start in GT.

As for Charlie Eastwood (Gold), he continues the adventure at TF Sport, this time with the status of official Corvette Racing driver.

“It’s fantastic to announce our first crew for the 2024 World Endurance Championship seasondeclared Tom Ferrier, boss of the team. Car #81 has an excellent profile: Tom is a really talented and fast Bronze driver. And with Rui, outgoing champion (an LMP2. Editor’s note) and Charlie, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (and GTE-Am and 2020. Editor’s note), I think we have a very good year ahead of us. »

On the second Corvette Z06 GT3.R, the Spaniard Daniel Juncadella is, to date, the only confirmed driver.
