AUSTIN, Texas — Texas women’s basketball freshman Madison Booker earned Big 12 co-player of the week honors the league announced on Monday.
Booker averaged 16.5 points, 9.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists in leading Texas to a 2-0 week with road wins at Texas Tech and No. 24 West Virginia.
In the game at West Virginia, Booker recorded her first collegiate double-double with 15 points and a season-high 12 rebounds. She also added seven assists in the game.
Against ranked opponents this season, Booker is averaging 20.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
This is the second Big 12 weekly honor for Booker this season.
Texas hosts TCU at Moody Center on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 7:00 p.m. CT.
