MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – No. 4 Texas Volleyball swept West Virginia, 25-21, 25-19, 25-19, to remain undefeated in Big 12 Conference play on Thursday at WVU Coliseum.

The Longhorns (17-3, 12-0) and Mountaineers will square off once more on Friday at 4 p.m. CT.

Madisen Skinner finished with 12 kills, hitting .300, and added four digs, two blocks and one service ace.

Molly Phillips had an outstanding match, with nine kills on just 11 swings for an .818 hitting percentage. Jenna Wenaas also had nine kills and hit .381 in the match.

Marianna Singletary started and had five kills to go with a team-high three blocks.

Ella Swindle dished out 28 assists and had five digs, three service aces and three kills. Emma Halter had nine digs, five assists and two service aces.

Texas had an early 7-4 deficit before rattling off a 14-4 run to take a big 18-11 lead in the first set. The Mountaineers came back with a 6-1 run to cut the lead to 19-17 but the Longhorns closed it out, 25-21.

The second set was close at the halfway point, with the teams tied at 15. Texas went on a 6-1 run to create some separation before putting the set away to take a 2-0 lead. The Longhorns hit .438 in the set and Phillips had five kills to lead the team.

Texas jumped out to a big lead in the third set and held on for a 25-19 win to close out the sweep.
