Like what has been done on the Miami side in Formula 1 since 2022, the Arlington route will not be entirely urban, but will wind around two facilities, the AT&T Stadium of the Dallas Cowboys (NFL) and the Globe Life Field, home to the Texas Rangers MLB franchise. The two stadiums will be connected by a straight line of almost a kilometer and a half, a real link between the two portions of the circuit, which will each pass around the existing installations.
Five real overtaking zones will be found around turns 1, 4, 9, 10 and 12, while the organizers also promise plenty of elevation changes, far from a flat and totally sanitized circuit. The Arlington Grand Prix aims to be a new crown jewel in IndyCar, alongside the Indianapolis 500 and the Long Beach Grand Prix. The collaboration with the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers therefore goes in this direction.
As in Detroit, the pit lane will be doubled, with boxes present both on the left and right of the pitlane. This allows both to use less space to accommodate the 27 cars present in the race, and to offer a superb view to the fans present in the stands on the straight, particularly during group stops under neutralization regime. The date for the first Arlington Grand Prix in March 2026 has not yet been officially announced, but it may become the second round of the championship, following St. Petersburg, Florida.
