Tetsuya Nomura Presents: Kingdom Hearts IV Officially Announced

At today’s 20th anniversary event in Japan Kingdom Hearts company Square Enix officially announced the development Kingdom Hearts IV. A spectacular role-playing game trailer closed the show.

At the moment it is known that the action of Kingdom Hearts IV will unfold in the universe “Square” (Square), which debuted in Kingdom Hearts III as a setting for a virtual game THE TRUE KING.

The third part of Kingdom Hearts contained a spectacular CGI trailer for VERUM REX, which was discussed online as a nomura reference to his version of Final Fantasy Versus XIII.

According to Japanese fans who attended today’s event, the developers of Kingdom Hearts IV promised to release the game “soon”. At the same time, Square Enix has not yet reported this separately.

“In the trailer, players are introduced to Quadratium, a large city set in a gorgeous, realistic world unlike any seen before in Kingdom Hearts. Fans will also be excited regarding the return of Sora’s companions Donald and Goofy, as well as the introduction of Strelitzia, the mysterious new heroine, who meets Sora in a new unusual setting,” the description reads.

Square Enix confirms that Kingdom Hearts IV will kick off a new story arc Lost Master Arc.

In addition to Kingdom Hearts IV, a new mobile game, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link, was announced today. Its closed testing will start at the end of 2022.
