The Poco F4 GT is a bit like the UFO signed Poco. Mix between controller and smartphone, this one wants to put the package on performance to offer a smartphone gaming at the top.
A disconcerting change.
Poco for those who don’t know it’s a bit the best performance / price. A choice that Xiaomi has always tried to respect with this brand. But to do that, you have to amputate certain things. Like for example the camera.
Well, for once, Poco is not in the mid-range either with this F4 GT. Counted 599 euros so we are more at the bottom of the high end. But we will have to see if this is totally justified or not.
An aggressive design.
The Poco F4 GT is entitled to a design worthy of its name. We are on a 6.67 inch screen for 210 grams. In other words, a beautiful baby. All in an aggressive look with the triangular patterns on the back which gives it a look closer to the target community. Even the flash got a makeover with a form of lightning.
On the side of the slices, there are classic buttons on the right and left. But the little more intriguing at the beginning are the two small latches that allow the triggers of the smartphone to be released.
Overall the grip is quite good. Especially if you are switching from a large smartphone. For smaller hands, it will take a little getting used to.
Rest assured, the smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus that we love. However, no IP certification completes the file and it is a big lack. Even if we can understand it from the triggers.
On the screen side, there is a non-adaptive Oled 120HZ screen in fullHD +. We would have liked an adaptive screen, but hey, we’re not going to complain.
Triggers to dominate them all.
This is the point that interests everyone, the triggers. If apart from games, these are configurable for quick actions, they are also completely customizable in their sound effects and others. A little customization gadget that will be fun at first, but quickly turned off. On the other hand in game… the triggers offer their full potential.
Never before has aim and shoot been so intuitive and engaging on Call of Duty mobile. A feature of the smartphone that makes it clear why they are there. we really have a greater ease and ease in all mobile games.
The audio has also been revised to provide better spatialization of the enemies in play. And that’s good. Even if it sounds weird during a movie.
On the photo side, we won’t talk regarding it to the masses, because Poco is not famous for it and this one is no exception. The pictures are doing quite well, but suffer from little detail and too much pixelation.
We tell you, the smartphone is intended for gaming and takes chip level everything that the high-end ones have. Namely the basic Snapdragon 8 gen 1. All coupled with 12gb of ram. So has everything you need to make it run on its own. Not to mention that if you run out of battery during your games, your phone will go from 0 to 100% in just 25 minutes thanks to the fast charging of the Xiaomi 12.
Finally, we are here on a smartphone that will appeal to people who want the Xiaomi 12 without cameras, but more gaming optimization. Something to seduce everyone with this gaming version of the Xiaomi 12, but on the side of Poco.
