Test cricketer Fawad Alam bid farewell to international cricket

National cricketer Fawad Alam has decided to retire from international cricket and move to America.

According to the report of Cricket Buzz, Pakistani cricketer Fawad Alam has decided to say goodbye to international cricket and move to America where he will be seen playing as a local player for Chicago Kingsmen in minor league cricket.

Earlier, Pakistani cricketers Sami Aslam, Hammad Azam, Saif Badr and Mohammad Mohsin have also moved to America to further their cricket career.

Fawad Alam started his international career in 2007 with a match once morest Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi. He participated in 38 ODI matches for Pakistan, scoring 966 runs in 36 innings at an average of 40.25. His ODI career includes a century and 6 fifties.

Fawad Alam was last bowled on April 22, 2015 in an ODI match once morest Bangladesh.

Fawad Alam also played his first Test match once morest Sri Lanka in 2009 in which he started his Test career with a century but later he was dropped from the team following only two matches.

After more than a decade, Fawad Alam finally returned to the national team during Pakistan’s tour of England in 2020.

Last year, Fawad Alam was included in the national team for the Test series once morest Australia in which he scored 33 runs in four innings in three Test matches.

Fawad Alam was included in the last Test match once morest Sri Lanka from 24 to 28 July 2022 in which he scored 25 runs, following which he was dropped from the Test squad.

Fawad Alam participated in 19 Test matches in which he scored 1011 runs at an average of 38.88. His Test career includes five centuries and two half-centuries.
