Tesla has officially launched the redesigned Model Y in North America and Europe. Following its debut in the Asia pacific region a few weeks prior, the refreshed model arrives with a suite of visual and technological enhancements.While the original Model Y remains available for purchase, the new iteration stands as a compelling contender, offering a blend of familiar appeal and modern refinements.
At the moment, US buyers can only access the long-range all-wheel drive launch series variant, priced at $46,490. This limited-edition release boasts exclusive badging on the rear liftgate, puddle lights, doorsill plate, and other prominent areas of the vehicle.
Visually,the new Model Y adopts a more rounded aesthetic,transitioning from the previous model’s sharp angles. Slimmer headlights and taillights flank a redesigned lightbar, creating a more cohesive and contemporary frontage.Stepping inside,passengers are greeted by a revamped interior featuring ambient lighting that gracefully envelops most of the cabin. Its sprint from 0 to 60 mph takes a mere 4.1 seconds, reaching a top speed of 125 mph. For reference, the older Model Y long-range AWD offers 311 miles of range, a top speed of 135 mph, and a 0-60 mph time of 4.8 seconds. deliveries of the refreshed Model Y commence in March.
