The relationship between Apple y Tesla It’s not even friendly. From Elon Musk there are plenty of examples of the times in which he has criticized those of the bitten appleand on the other side there are also rumors regarding affirmations unenviable, made by Tim Cook regarding the electric car manufacturer. Now, it has become clear that the same sentiment has spread to team members, from at least one of the companies.
According to statements shared on the Car Radio podcast hosted by Spike Feresten, Franz von Holzhausen, chief designer of Teslashared without any filter what he thinks regarding the design of the creators of the iPhone, stating that I didn’t have much enthusiasm for future Apple products.
Tesla claims Apple is no longer original
Holzhausen, who has been in charge of the design of all recent and future Tesla vehicles, described recent Apple products as mere “continuations” of something that had already been created a long time ago instead of jump products like the iPhone.
“The sad part regarding Apple products now is that there’s nothing to look forward to. I feel like it’s just a continuation, it’s just kind of a slight refinement of the same thing. So, inspiringly, it’s been hard to be super motivated by what they They are doing.”
That yes, in spite of his declarations Holzhausen admitted to wearing an Apple Watch (which also means he has an iPhone), but he said it’s “only for the physical aspect. Otherwise, I haven’t found much purpose in it”.
As a top industry executive, Holzhausen’s opinion has not gone unnoticed by many, but one that Apple can refute with their annual earnings and the launch of innovative products that popularized new categories in the industry like AirPods.
While Holzhausen weighs in on Apple, it also doesn’t go unnoticed that the design of all known Teslas reveal that they are clearly from the same family. And although this may change with the expected Cybertruck and the Tesla Model 2, as well as the expected Apple Car, these are projects that are increasingly delayed.
