After accepting electric cars from other brands on its Superchargers, Tesla is opening up to other networks by adding them to navigation on its models.
Tesla continues to transform its charging network. After opening some Superchargers to other electric cars then introduces flexible rates depending on the hourthe American brand will now integrate, in Europe and Israel, all charging stations outside its own network, which it did not do until then.
“Third-party fast chargers can now appear on maps in the navigation system of our cars,” announces the manufacturer, while specifying that it is “subject to conditions”. And these conditions, what are they? First, that these stations offer compatible sockets, which will pose no problem in Europe given the generalization of the CCS format.
But Tesla also claims that these terminals are reliable and regularly used by the drivers of its cars. In fact, it is necessary that the percentage of successful charges of the station is at least 90% and that a model of the brand is connected at least once every four days over a period of 60 days.
If this is not the case, Tesla will remove stations from the navigation with a success rate falling below 70% and if no charging session by a model of the brand is detected in 14 days.
