The lying motorist thus found himself stranded with his Tesla Model 3 a few meters from the charging station. An absurd situation in which no one helped him. Out of desperation he thus got in the way of the last remaining place in the hope that a good Samaritan would come to his rescue.
Well, the bedtime solution might not be the smartest one. By standing up and explaining the situation, he would surely have had more support. But the situation was finally resolved following 15 minutes. So in the end he was probably right…
Saved by “transport” mode
The person filming finally came to save him. Working in the gas station next door, he knows how to handle this situation. He was thus able to put the car in “transport” mode. This deactivates the electric handbrake and unclamps the motor so that it can roll freely. This is the mode that is used to transport the Teslas when they are shipped.
All you have to do is go to the driving menus in the “maintenance” section, just click on “towing”. This opens a menu and enables transport mode. Just follow the car’s instructions.
Fortunately, the station employee was aware of this feature, otherwise the motorist might have remained lying at the location for a long time…
