IT House News on April 8th, the Tesla mobile app pushes the latest OTA2023.2.13.1 release notes for Model 3 and Y (configuration|inquiry).
Energy regenerative braking:
Select the intensity of regenerative braking when the accelerator pedal is released while driving. Go to Controls > Pedals and Steering > Regenerative Braking.
Standard: Provides maximum regenerative braking, which slows the vehicle and feeds any remaining energy back to the battery when the accelerator pedal is released while driving.
Low: Limited energy regenerative braking, when the accelerator pedal is released during driving, the vehicle takes longer to slow down and the coasting distance is longer than the “Standard” setting.
Energy scale:
The energy gauge is a thin horizontal line above the vehicle status area of the touchscreen that shows real-time energy usage. The right side of the energy scale represents the power at which the vehicle accelerates. Now, when the accelerator pedal is pressed further, the lines get thicker.
IT Home understands that if the owner does not put his foot on the accelerator pedal while the vehicle is driving, energy regenerative braking will slow the vehicle and feed back all remaining energy to the battery. If the owner slows down the vehicle by taking off the accelerator pedal, the energy regenerative braking system can be used to increase the mileage.
