If you own a Tesla car, you may have the feeling that your car doesn’t smell clean…
Electric cars from the Tesla brand have experienced a real boom for several years. However, it is not uncommon for customers to complain of foul odors in their vehicle…
Tesla, good or bad investment?
Teslas have been on the rise for several years. As you probably know, buying an electric vehicle is generally more expensive to purchase than a thermal car.
And Tesla is among the most expensive on the market. In fact, it is necessary to count between 40,000 and 70,000 euros to have the luxury of affording one. Once the vehicle is paid for, maintenance costs are added.
In addition, the costs associated with recharging, without forgetting the insurance, are also to be taken into account. However, the recent drop in prices for the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y has made it possible to restore order to a range that was not necessarily very accessible.
The least expensive today is the Tesla Model 3 Propulsion, which is eligible for the ecological bonus of 5,000 euros, making it affordable at less than 40,000 euros. THE high end of the Model 3, in Performance version, is worth almost 60,000 euros.
The Long Autonomy version is displayed at 52,990 euros. As for the Tesla Model Y, the Propulsion version is offered from 46,990 euros, or 41,990 euros to pay following application of the ecological bonus.
The Tesla Model Y Grande Autonomie is worth 53,990 euros, when la version Performance exchanged for 63,990 euros at the very least. The Tesla Model S and Model X for their part have a current starting price of six figures and the Plaid versions exceed 140,000 euros.
Comfortable cars
With such a price, however, future buyers benefit optimal comfort. Indeed, Elon Musk wants to make his cars real collector’s items.
At Tesla, the CEO also makes it a point of honor that periodic maintenance is not a source of expense. And this is part of some promises outfits still today.
Tesla’s periodic maintenance plan was therefore simply eliminated almost four years ago. Therefore, no owner is required to have their vehicle checked for retain the warranty.
The page made available by the manufacturer stipulates it elsewhere. She recalls in particular that the vehicle “requires no annual service or regular fluid change”.
So, where the overwhelming majority of the industry sometimes asks for several hundred euros annually to carry out periodic checks, Tesla has chosen not to worry regarding it. On the other hand, interior maintenance seems to be a problem for many.
Foul smells in cars
If you own an Elon Musk car, you must have encountered an odor problem. The problem is that it is sometimes difficult to identify the cause of this problem.
Moreover, on social networks, the concern is quite widespread. The culprits are the air filters which is located inside the passenger compartment.
These parts are there to prevent pollen, industrial pollutants, road dust and other particles from entering the passenger compartment through the ventilation vents, we can read on the Tesla website. Over time, they become less effective.
Bad odors arrive and proliferate in abundance. To get rid of it, you must therefore change the air filters in question. If you ask Tesla to do it, it will cost you dearly.
However, the manufacturer offers many tutorials to repair your car yourself. Replacing air filters can be done without needing to go to a garage.
The Tesla website indicates that it will only cost you €26 for the Model 3 or Model Y. All you need to do this is a simple screwdriver, so don’t wait any longer.
