Since its announcement, Tesla’s Cybertruck launch is delayed. On pfailed presentation by Elon Musk maybe there is something for it. The billionaire wanted to prove his solidity of the windows of the electric pick-up by throwing an object there. But the projectile shattered the window of the vehicle on the first throw. Nevertheless, it looks like the Cybertruck is regarding to be finalizedthis one having passed wind tunnel tests.
Most of the time, the purpose of wind tunnel testing is to measure the aerodynamics of a vehicle. But that wouldn’t be the case here. It would indeed be a test procedure to measure the resistance of its unique and massive windscreen wiper, the wind tunnel aiming to simulate high-speed driving. Anyway, considering the angular shapes of the Cybertruck, one can doubt the results during an aerodynamic test…
Tesla: Cybertruck might go into production this summer
In this video, filmed by a drone, an employee can be seen spraying a liquid on the windshield, which is then rquickly removed by the movement of the wiper. This Cybertruck prototype does not appear to be equipped with the dual-hinged wiper arm, yet previously patented by Tesla. This is a simple model with a single arm mounted on an axle in the lower left corner of the windshield.
It would thus appear that the Cybertruck seen yesterday at the Gigafactory in Texas is the final model. It is moreover great news for anyone who pre-ordered Tesla’s pickup. If Elon Musk’s promises are kept, the electric vehicle should come into limited production this summer at the company’s plant in Texas.
Also, the truck should be equipped with the latest computer Hardware 4.0 from the firm and the Autopilot sensor suite, hoping this one doesn’t cause another accident. Tesla’s Cybertruck would also benefit from an adaptive air suspension system and steering rear wheels.
