Tesla announced the construction of a new factory. Where will it be?

Tesla continues its vibrant path and adding new buyers to its vehicles. Despite having competition in the ever, Tesla follows a straight path without looking back. All successfully.

And the electric car maker is still in full swing, this time it is expected to build a new manufacturing plant in Nevada that will produce its electric semi-truck.

While Tesla didn’t officially announce the plans until Tuesday night, January 24, Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo mentioned the deal Monday night, January 23, during his State of the State address.

Lombardo said the new facility is planned to be built in northern Nevada. He also said it will cost an estimated $3.5 billion.

The advanced manufacturing facility is said to be the production site for the Tesla Semi, the first units of which were delivered to Pepsi last month.

Tesla confirmed that it is investing $3.6 billion in its Giga Nevada operations and plans to build two new factories on the site.

The first will be a 100.0 GWh 4680 cell factory with the capacity to produce batteries for 1.5 million vehicles each year.

The second factory is confirmed to be Tesla’s first high production factory for the Tesla Semi.

The investment will result in an additional four million square feet of manufacturing and 3,000 additional jobs for Tesla’s Giga Nevada facility.
