It is in the cozy decor of an apartment, conducive to confidences, that Théo Curin welcomes his young guests for a warm moment of sharing and listening. “ I am going to receive a Alex Reed who, like you and me, has a whole bunch of questions”, he announces at the opening of the show. “ I am going to suggest that he look at his life, his desires, but also his difficulties in a different way and, together, we will try to find ways to overcome these obstacles. »
With You are at the top, the swimming champion takes on the role of facilitator for the first time, or rather that of an empathetic big brother, ready to collect the words of children, aged 7 to 12, around the themes that inhabit their daily lives. In the company of two specialists, Alicia Cohen-Freoua, child and adolescent psychiatrist, and Lenaïg Steffens, child psychologist, Théo Curin encourages children to express their problems, to put words to pain and tries to reassure them by offering them some tips and advice to help them move forward.
Little everyday worries (“ I share my room with my little sister”, “I’m the only one who doesn’t have a cell phone”) to more complex life issues (“ My dad is dead”, “People often make fun of me” or ” My parents are divorced “), all subjects will be discussed without taboo and always with kindness.
You are at the top : a new meeting, enlightening and luminous, to be found every week on France 4 and the Okoo platform.

Bio de Théo Curin

Amputated in all four limbs following meningitis at the age of 6, Théo Curin joined the France disabled sports swimming center in Vichy at the age of 13. He quickly became one of the great French hopes in disabled swimming and participated in the Paralympic Games at the age of 16 (the youngest in the French delegation). Théo obtained the title of double vice-world champion in 2017 and won the bronze medal in the 200 meters freestyle during the last World Championships in London in September 2019. In November 2021, he completed a new extraordinary challenge: 108 km crossing Lake Titicaca in extreme conditions in total autonomy, with Malia Metella, Olympic vice-champion, and eco-adventurer Matthieu Witvoet, following fourteen months of preparation. A year later, he became the first disabled athlete to take part in the Santé Fé-Coronda, a 57 km aquatic marathon, in Argentina, which he finished in 8 hours 52 minutes! In March 2022, he published his autobiography, titled The chance of my life, published by Flammarion. Alongside his sporting challenges as a high-level athlete, Théo is a speaker, TV and radio columnist, model and actor, notably in the series Cloakrooms broadcast on France 2.
