Terrorists should be identified and action taken against them: Prime Minister’s directive

Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif issued instructions on Tuesday to identify the terrorists and take full action against them.

According to the Pakistani authorities, 73 people, including security forces officials, civilians and militants, have been killed in various attacks by extremists in various areas of Balochistan and the action of the security forces against them.

Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today after this radical incident, in which the Prime Minister was given a detailed briefing on the security and overall situation of Balochistan.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister House, Shahbaz Sharif said that Monday’s terrorist attacks in Balochistan were ‘cowardly acts which cannot be justified.’

He said that ‘our brave security forces foiled the terrorists’ ambitions by sacrificing their lives.’

The statement said that the Prime Minister directed all possible measures to improve the law and order situation in Balochistan.

The Prime Minister said that many citizens and officials lost their lives in terrorist incidents in Balochistan, Pakistani citizens were also killed in ongoing terror incidents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These are the terrorists of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban who operate from Afghanistan.

He further said that Afghanistan was not only informed in this regard by Pakistan, but effective actions were also taken against the terrorists.

US Condemns Balochistan Attacks

America has strongly condemned the attacks in Balochistan on Monday.

US Embassy spokesperson Jonathan Lally said in a statement that security personnel and civilians were targeted in the attack in Balochistan and 23 innocent civilians were killed in Mosikhel, condemning these attacks.

‘Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in yesterday’s attacks. America will stand side by side with Pakistan in the war against terrorism.

Condemnation of China

China condemned the violent incidents in Balochistan and reiterated its support to Pakistan.

According to Reuters, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said at a press briefing on Tuesday: “China strongly condemns the attacks in Pakistan and will continue to fully support Islamabad in counter-terrorism operations.”

Number of deaths

According to officials, the number of people killed in various attacks in different areas of Balochistan and the action of security forces against them has reached 73, including security forces personnel, civilians and extremists.

According to the statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army or ISPR on Monday night, 14 security personnel were killed while 21 militants were killed during the retaliatory action against the militants in Musakhel.

Earlier, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti told media representatives that 38 people have lost their lives, out of which 23 people have lost their lives in multiple attacks by extremists on Musakhel, Kalat, railway lines and other places. He was taken off the bus and shot dead after seeing his identity card.

Sarfaraz Bugti said during the news conference that ‘people were taken off the buses and shot in front of their families.’

Rail traffic with Quetta was suspended after blasts on the railway bridge connecting the provincial capital Quetta with the rest of Pakistan.
