Terrorists in Pak-Iran border region receiving ‘third country’ support: Iranian foreign minister

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian has said that there is no doubt that there are terrorists in the common border region of Pakistan and Iran and in Iranian and Pakistani territories who are supported and guided by third countries.

While holding a press conference in Islamabad along with caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, the Iranian Foreign Minister said that people living in Iran and Pakistan are considered as one nation and have important fraternal relations with Pakistan.

He said that geographical relations with Pakistan are also important, Pakistan’s security is a priority for us.

The Iranian Foreign Minister added that there is no doubt that there are terrorists in the common border region of Pakistan and Iran and in Iranian and Pakistani territories who are supported and guided by third countries.

Hussain Amir Abdullahian said that Pakistan and Iran will not give any chance to terrorists, terrorists have caused a lot of damage to Iran, terrorists on the border are a threat to the security of both countries.

Meeting at the Foreign Office

Earlier, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and discussed bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.

He emphasized the importance of strong dialogue and cooperation for positive progress in bilateral relations.

The two sides agreed to work towards promoting the mutually desirable goals of peace and prosperity based on mutual respect and a collective approach to addressing common challenges.

It should be noted that Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian arrived in Islamabad on a one-day visit last night.
