Iran’s President Ibrahim Raisi said that terrorism and occupation are one of the strategies used by the enemies to weaken the Islamic societies of the world.
President Ibrahim Raisi said this at an Iftar banquet attended by ambassadors and chargé d’affaires of Muslim countries in Tehran on Wednesday.
The Chief Executive considered sowing discord and insulting the sanctity of Muslims as one of the other ways to target Muslim communities by calling on the world’s Muslim countries to unite once morest these conspiracies.
The President said that there is a need for unity and integrity and that the world Muslim Ummah (nation) needs to be aligned as a strategy.
Raisi pointed to recent Israeli attacks on the compound of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds Old City, Islam’s third holiest site, and targeting defenseless Palestinians.
Simple condemnation and resentment of these violations is not enough, the president noted, and today expects Muslim nations to take action once morest the atrocities of the Israeli state and in support of the oppressed Palestinian state.
In 2020, the leader came up with the logical proposal that the Palestinians should be allowed internationally to hold a referendum to determine the fate of the occupied territories. The proposal contains a vote in which all original and historical inhabitants of the occupied territories, still present and displaced, must participate.
The President recalled that despite the current sanctions and threats, the Islamic Republic has made remarkable progress, which it is ready to share with fellow Muslim countries.
