Unexpectedly, in the next second, the woman accidentally fell 60 meters from the cliff. After 10 hours of rescue by firefighters, she managed to save her life.
According to a comprehensive report by Lu Media, a couple in Hanzhong, Shaanxi, China, went to a local scenic spot to climb a mountain. When the two climbed to the top, the woman was on the edge of a dangerous cliff, looking for a photo location. Unexpectedly, in the next second, the woman fell directly from the 60-meter cliff and was trapped.
The firefighters arrived at the scene immediately following receiving the report. However, the slope of the mountain in the scenic spot was close to 70 degrees and the bushes were lush, which made the search and rescue more difficult. After more than an hour of searching by drone, the location where the woman was trapped was successfully found.
Afterwards, the firefighters used a stretcher to lift the trapped woman, and it took another 2 hours to rescue the woman to the cliff platform. After a preliminary examination by medical staff, it was found that the woman’s hip joint was injured, and the space of the cable car was limited, so she might not go down the mountain. In the end, firefighters used manpower to rescue the woman down the mountain and sent her to the hospital for treatment.
After the woman was sent to the hospital, her life was not in danger. She is still receiving treatment and her condition is stable. Afterwards, the Shaanxi Fire Brigade also appealed to the public not to challenge the difficult climbing paths when going to the mountains for fun and climbing, and not to sacrifice their own safety for the sake of taking pictures, otherwise the consequences would be disastrous.
