An accident between a cyclist and a motorcyclist took place in Boirargues in the Hérault. The two victims were admitted to intensive care at the Lapeyronie hospital center.
A terrible traffic accident occurred this Sunday, August 21, around 5 p.m., on Avenue de Figuières in Boirargues, commune of Lattes, not far from Conforama.
According to the first investigations, carried out by the national police, a 23-year-old motorcyclist collided with a cyclist, in his thirties, who was crossing on a pedestrian crossing. In view of the health check of the two involved, the shock must have been of rare violence.
No direct witness
Indeed, taken care of by the firefighters of Sdis 34 and Samu 34, the two victims, whose vital prognosis was “very committed”, were admitted to intensive care in the anesthesia and resuscitation department in Lapeyronie. Note that in view of his serious injuries, the cyclist even had to be airlifted.
According to the first elements of the investigation, there would be no direct witness to this appalling accident but some people, interviewed near the scene of the tragedy, report that they saw a motorcycle driving at high speed a few minutes before the accident, even doing rear wheels.
Is it the same motorbike which, a few moments later, mowed down the cyclist as he crossed the road? The story does not say so but the investigation has only just begun. One thing is certain, however, both the biker and the cyclist have been fighting against death since this evening.
