To simplify this administrative procedure, all the companies concerned will have to allow their client to access a “cancellation” button in three clicks or less. Once the contract is terminated, the company must confirm the process to the consumer and then notify the consumer of the end date of the contract and the effects of the termination.
This device will apply to subscriptions taken out on the Internet, but also to those contracted via other means. Note however that if the initial subscription has a minimum commitment period, unsubscription will only be possible at the end of this period.
Internet, electricity or gas suppliers, as well as telephone operators, insurers, sports halls and even dating sites will be targeted by this decree, which is scheduled to be published before June 1.
