The exselected national of artistic swimming has denounced the alleged violence who suffered from his ex-coach
“It led me to have Bulimia, Anorexia, Anxiety and severe Depression which took me to the hospital”, mentioned the ex-selected National of Artistic Swimming Teresa García who denounced alleged violence from her former coach.

Through her TikTok account (@tereixchel) the athlete released a video in which she talked regarding the situation she and her teammates experienced with their former National Team coach.
According to the swimmer, the coach has multiple complaints for which she has been accused:
“Among them are discrimination, violence, corruption, nepotism and among others,” he said.
She also revealed that it led her to have several eating disorders, among others:
“Personally, it led me to have Bulimia, Anorexia, Anxiety and severe Depression which took me to the hospital,” he confessed.
On the other hand, he added that the coach leads this artistic swimming team as if it were an “ultra-capitalist” company:
“She only seeks to generate income for her at the expense of her workers, us athletes,” he added.
In the same way, she stressed that many of her companions arrived at the hospital as a result of the eating disorders that she “led them to have”:
“The most disturbing case is that of Samanta Flores, where he forced her to lose a kilo a day, so she only ate a can of tuna all day,” he emphasized.

Teresa also spoke that the coach is also the one who decides who is in that company:
“She got to include her sister and currently her husband is in the multidisciplinary team as a Motivational Coach,” she said.
He also indicated that the latter mocked and humiliated psychologists and psychiatrists:
“Therefore, it was unthinkable to go with a health professional, many of us went secretly,” she commented.
He also accused her of having taken away a percentage of a prize they received following the silver medal at the 2019 Pan American Games:
“This percentage came into the hands of her husband, we, until the bottom of the pyramid without a voice and without a vote, might only agree to give her that percentage and deposit it with her,” she explained.

Finally, the athlete mentioned that most of her team has two financial supports or more:
“They really do it because they do not have economic resources or they want to divert these resources to their personal life (…) it really is for Mexico, in my opinion if it were for Mexico they would raise their voices, in my opinion if it were for Mexico they would raise their voices for all athletes who have bravely raised their voices following extremely serious abuse, if it were up to Mexico, the National Artistic Swimming Team would not be treated as a capitalist company,” he concluded.
