With 9th place in the final table, UTC Casa Moda Steyr would have been relegated from the 1st Tennis Bundesliga this year following 13 years. Now it was enough at the “green table” to stay in the league. After three clubs, champions Irdning, Radstadt and WAC, withdrew from the top division, the Steyr team will enter their 14th season in 2024. In addition, Strasbourg and Eisenstadt are promoted to the tennis upper house as third and fourth in the 2nd Bundesliga.
“We are happy that we have now managed to stay in the league and will do everything we can to ensure that we can stay in the league next year on our own,” says co-captain Dominik Traxler. The Steyrians will largely rely on the existing squad, which has recently been significantly rejuvenated.
