Fritz moves up one place, Bencic stays ninth
The ATP and WTA rankings published on Monday did not cause huge upheavals. Djokovic still in the lead, Swiatek too.
Despite her victory, Belinda Bencic did not progress.

The American Taylor Fritz has gained a position and moved to 7th place in the world in the ATP ranking published on Monday, and still dominated by the Serbian Novak Djokovic. Fritz, 25, thus obtained the best ranking of his career.
However, he was stopped to everyone’s surprise in the semi-final in Dallas by Wu Yibing, who on Sunday became the first Chinese to win a race on the men’s professional circuit, winning the final against another American, John Isner, 37th to 37 years.
Wu, now 58th in the world at 23, also achieved the best weekly progression in the Top 100 with a gain of 39 places.

WTA: no noticeable change
Poland’s Iga Swiatek continues to dominate the WTA on Monday, with the only notable change at the top of the rankings being Estonia’s Annett Kontaveit’s exit from the Top 20. Behind the untouchable Swiatek, the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, crowned at the Australian Open, and the Tunisian Ons Jabeur, occupy the other two places on the podium.
Victorious in Abu Dhabi, St. Gallen Belinda Bencic failed to improve her ranking. She therefore still occupies the ninth place in the WTA.
