This Monday, the FFT announced the names of the five players selected to play in the group stage of the Davis Cup finals. At 19, Arthur Fils should make his debut with the Blues.
After winning a first title on the ATP circuit (in Lyon last May) and having entered the top 50 of the ATP ranking (since July 31), Arthur Fils is regarding to experience a new fine stage in his young career. Indeed, at only 19 years old, the Frenchman (46th in the world) has just been called up for the first time with the France team to compete in the Davis Cup. Thus, next September (from 12 to 17), the native of Bondoufle will be with the Blues in Manchester to play the group stage of the finals of the famous team competition. Apart from Fils, the French Tennis Federation (FFT) announced on Monday thatAdrian Mannarino (32nd) and Ugo Humbert (33rd) were also called up, as were Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin. Already selected in 2014 and 2016, the latter might also make his debut with France on this occasion.
