Just crowned with his first ATP title in Sofia on Sunday, Marc-Andrea Hüsler did not continue his momentum. For his entry into the ATP 500 tournament in Astana on Wednesday, the Zurich native suffered the law of the Finn Emil Ruusuvuori in two rounds and therefore already took the door.

The return to earth is brutal for Hüsler, now ranked 64th at the ATP. He lost 6-0 6-2 in 1h08 of play, without ever having really had a say once morest the 53rd player in the world. To the point of having to wait almost 40 minutes to finally win a game. He had previously conceded a bicycle wheel in the first round.

In difficulty on the return, but above all very fragile on his commitment (only six points won following his second service), the 26-year-old player did not have the energy necessary to reproduce the level which was his, last week, in Bulgaria.

He will therefore not be able to face Daniil Medvedev (ATP 4) in the round of 16. Not so bad, perhaps, to breathe a little and really digest this first title on the circuit.
