American Frances Tiafoe, seeded No. 4, knocked out Japanese qualifier Taro Daniel (7-5, 6-4) and reached the quarter-finals of the Atlanta Tournament at the Atlantic Stadion in Atlanta, Wednesday evening.
Tiafoe, 29th in the world at the ATP, will face American Brandon Nakashima, seeded No. 8 in the quarterfinals of the Atlanta Open.
In the previous round of the Georgian tournament, Daniel, 101st player in the world at ATP, won against American Sebastian Korda (1-6, 6-1, 6-3).
