A woman reportedly tried to hire a hitman to kill the wife of her hiking buddy she met on Match.com.
Melody Sasser, 47, who lives in Tennessee, is accused of threatening David Wallace and his wife, Jennifer Wallace.
According to the New York Post, Melody stalked her rival using a fitness app to send real-time updates to hitmen.

Fortunately, the killers contacted were contacted on fake assassination websites, and the police were alerted, reports the Daily Beast.
“It has to appear as a coincidence or an accident. Or drugs, I don’t want a long investigation,” she reportedly wrote on the now defunct ‘Online Killers Market’ under the username ‘Cattree’.
Melody would have paid nearly $ 13,500 to have Jennifer eliminated, according to court documents filed in federal court in Knoxville, Tennessee.

While the exact nature of David and Melody’s relationship is unclear, the two friends reportedly met in 2020 on dating site Match.com and became close, not least because they shared a love of hiking.
Their relationship would then deteriorate in 2022 when David left to live in Alabama with his fiancée, Jennifer.
The couple claim that Melody tracked them down to confront them. David then told her that he was going to marry Jennifer.
“I hope you fall off a cliff and die,” Melody allegedly told him, according to court documents.

Melody was arrested on May 18 and remains in custody until her court appearance on Thursday.
If convicted of murder-for-hire, she faces up to 10 years in prison.
