A tourist from China, aged 22, passed away in the hospital following being involved in a serious traffic accident in Scheffau, located in the Tennengau region of Salzburg on Thursday evening. The police made the announcement on Friday followingnoon.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. when three vehicles collided head-on along Lammertalstrasse. The 22-year-old Chinese tourist, a 49-year-old resident of Tennengau, and a 58-year-old resident of Flachgau were all injured in the crash. The three individuals were taken to hospitals in Salzburg for medical treatment, and Lammertalstraße was shut down for multiple hours during the cleanup process.
